H One (Pvt) Ltd, recently announced the completion of a landmark infrastructure upgrade for the Browns Group. Using a combination of the latest Microsoft technologies, the Group wide IT Network & Infrastructure was upgraded with centralized management, increased security and a range of collaboration tools.

The upgrade is part of a 3 year technology roadmap for the Browns Group that was developed based on a comprehensive infrastructure assessment carried out by H One and Microsoft. The implementation included Microsoft Windows Server 2008 R2 Active Directory for centralised authentication & authorization, extended messaging capabilities providing high availability and load balancing to 1500 users via Exchange 2010, high security in the messaging infrastructure via Microsoft RMS service and complete centralised monitoring & management via the Microsoft Systems Centre product suite.

The project also included the implementation Microsoft Lync, the latest in collaboration technologies, with a range of features including audio and video communication capabilities, and Microsoft's Threat Management Gateway interfacing to the external world with multi-legged network topology driving protection of the entire infrastructure.

Recognized as a Super brand and placed as one of the top 25 corporate entities in Sri Lanka, this project is part of the Browns Groups roadmap to leverage the latest in technology as they continue to innovate in the market.
